Join us on the second Saturday of August - at the Seaford Sports Complex - for one of the best outdoor events of the summer. 
Satisfy your body, mind & SOUL with a selection of cultural foods, fascinating exhibits, and FREE Live
Music! (Reggae, Jazz, Gospel, Blues/Soul, ​Funk, Calypso) What could be better!?

Enjoy strolling among AFRAM's cultural vendors for some of the best foods, and exotic imports (African 

textiles, printed fashions, incense, jewelry & accessories, and natural beauty products; as well as fine

arts/crafts (and books) from across the Diaspora. There's also a wealth of FREE information and

NETWORKING opportunities available among AFRAM's Community Resource/Non-Profit vendors;

wellness, education, family care, entrepreneurship, employment; government agencies & services.

​SATURDAY, explore exhibits such as AFRAM's Exhibition Tent where you can see and play one-of-a-

kind musical instruments, all constructed of recycled materials - all created by the festival's resident

artist, Errol Sobers.  Later, swing to the sounds of MIKE HINES AND THE LOOK..​

The ADINKRA symbol at left is identified as "KUJICHAGULIA", which is the theme for this year and is taken from the seven principles of Kwanzaa.  "KUJICHAGULIA" means "SELF DETERMINATION".
The Eastern Shore AFRAM festival is an annual African American cultural festival which celebrates a variety of traditional arts, cultures, and stories from across the African Diaspora within the Delmarva community. These treasures are shared with a multitude of visitors from across the Mid Atlantic - and beyond.  This cultural and community enrichment often features elements derived directly from African and Pan African traditions; Music & Arts (including crafts), Education (including Oral histories and storytelling), Humor, Faith, and of course Great Food.  JOIN US to Discover and Enjoy a host of attractions the Eastern Shore AFRAM Festival offers this summer.
